Restoration Celebration to Honor 17 Graduates March 11

Rockford Rescue Mission invites the community to attend its Restoration Celebration, honoring graduates of the residential Life Recovery Program.

The event, to be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the Mission, will recognize 17 men and women who have completed all requirements of the nine- to 12-month program and have remained clean for an additional four to six months.

“These special individuals have worked hard to overcome their addictions, learn important life skills and find gainful employment, and now they’re ready to take their places as independent members of society,” said Executive Director Sherry Pitney.  “We hope our Mission friends will join us in celebrating their victory, honoring their changed lives and welcoming them back into our community.”

Alumni of the Life Recovery Program will join the graduates at a dinner prior to the ceremony. The public is invited to meet and congratulate the honorees at a reception after the event. No reservations are required.

The Mission is located at 715 West State St., Rockford.
