Taco John's promotion benefits Rockford Rescue Mission May 20-26

Rockford Rescue Mission invites Taco John’s patrons to enjoy their favorite foods while helping the Mission feed and care for their hungry neighbors.

Through a special promotion running May 20 through 26 at three Taco John’s locations, 25 cents for every Potato Olés sold at regular price will be donated to the Mission in support of their programs and services.  This marks the fourth such recent initiative by local Taco John’s restaurants to benefit the Mission.

The participating Taco John’s restaurants include 3269 S. Alpine Road (newly reopened) and 3007 N. Main Street in Rockford, and 8304 N. 2nd Street in Machesney Park.

“We’re always so grateful for the support of our community partners like Taco John’s,” said the Mission’s executive director Sherry Pitney.  “Through opportunities like this one they’re not only allowing the Mission to assist our neighbors who are hungry and homeless or struggling to provide for their families, they’re also giving their customers a hands-on way to make a difference.”
