East State McDonald’s Celebrates, Helps Mission

A newly remodeled McDonald’s restaurant is sharing its grand opening celebration with Rockford Rescue Mission through Friday, July 19.

The McDonald's is located at East State Street and Dempster Road (near East State and Alpine) in Rockford.  It reopened July 12 after undergoing a total remodel. Tom Hash, Operations Consultant, selected the Mission as the charity to receive 25 cents for every McDonald’s Value Meal purchased from July 12 through July 19.

Jorge Hernandez, operations manager in Rockford, and Linda Ballard, manager of the Harrison Avenue McDonald’s, also attended the July 12 celebration, along with Ronald McDonald himself. The Mission was featured on WZOK during the noon hour and a VIP ribbon cutting ceremony (photo) was held that afternoon.

Thanks, McDonald’s, for your generosity to the Mission!
