Chief Programs Officer (full-time)

Pursue the accomplishment of agreed-upon outcome goals for Life Recovery residents and Crisis guests by analyzing, strengthening, changing, systematizing and integrating the program and by providing motivation, direction, training and other assistance to the supervisors of respective programs. Rate: $67,800-$72,800/yr.

Human Resources Director (full-time)

Specialized work in developing and maintaining the Human Resources department of the Rescue Mission. Establish and maintain Human Resource records. Recruit, screen and conduct reference checks of applicants for all positions within the organization. Maintain applicant tracking and hiring files. Maintain and provide current information on benefits such as Social Security, retirement and insurance. Establish, administer, explain and maintain the employee evaluation system. Assist supervisors in counseling employees on any problem affecting their work. Interpret and explain Human Resource policies and procedures to department heads, employees and applicants. Orient new employees to include explanation of benefits and understanding of organizational policies. Conduct exit interviews with all employees at separation to deliver final check, benefit continuance, etc. Coordinate unemployment claims and hearings in order to represent the Mission’s best interests. Scrutinize payroll for compliance issues related to wage and hour. Rate: $72,000-$78,000/yr.

Accounting Assistant (full-time)

Capture, develop, synthesize, safeguard, share and present data that is consumable as information. This position also supports cash management and plays a crucial role in ensuring the Mission’s invoices are paid timely and accurately and that supporting documentation is maintained. Rate: $22/hr.

Church /Donor Relations Specialist (full-time)

Develop, coordinate and maintain the overall strategy for the Mission’s ministry to and with churches, parachurch ministries and ministry related organizations, and with other donor groups as assigned. Rate: $21-$23/hr.

Donor/Business Relations Specialist (full-time)

Cultivate and solicit all assigned donors and donor groups through stewardship strategies. Assist donors in achieving their stewardship goals. This will be accomplished through relationship building through various donor cultivation strategies. Rate: $22-$23/hr.

Cook (part-time)

Prepare and cook meals for residents and guests of Rockford Rescue Mission. Rate: $15.50-$16.75/hr.

Driver (part-time)

Under the supervision and direction of the Food Services Supervisor, safely and courteously pick up donations from designated donors and deliver to Rockford Rescue Mission. Rate: $15.50-$17/hr.

Men’s Crisis Coordinator (full-time or part-time, day/evening)

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of homeless men seeking services from the Rockford Rescue Mission Ministries. Oversee the safety and security of all Crisis Program guests, visitors and volunteers within the RRMM facility. Rate: $16-$18/hr.

Men’s Life Recovery Coordinator (part-time, evening)

Oversee the overall physical, safety, and spiritual needs of men residing in the Recovery Program during the night and early morning hours. Maintain a safe, non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment. Assist the Men’s Recovery Program staff in various clerical responsibilities. Be responsible for the security of the building complex housing the men’s programs at RRM in conjunction with the Night Crisis Supervisor. Rate: $16-$18/hr.

Women’s Crisis Center Coordinator (part-time, evening)

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of the homeless individuals seeking emergency shelter at Rockford Rescue Mission Ministries. Implement program policies and procedures. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and direction to all Crisis guests. Monitor safety and security of Women’s Crisis guests, visitors and volunteers. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment. Rate: $18/hr.

Women’s Life Recovery Coordinator (part-time, days)

Serve Life Recovery Program women toward the fulfillment of Mission’s Purpose Statement in behavior, in harmony with our Core Values and Four Life Changing Practices statement. Maintain a safe, grace-filled environment for the residents during working hours. Rate: $18/hr.

Floor Associate/Cashier (part-time or full-time)

Check out customers in an efficient and Christlike manner. Assist in preparation of cash register drawers. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor by ensuring continual maintenance of all areas. This includes replacing/rearranging merchandise throughout the day to ensure everything is in the proper place and displayed in a neat, shopper-friendly way. Assist with timely transition from season to season and in the pricing of merchandise. Dress windows to attract customers and reflect the seasons. Rate: $15.50/hr.

Driver (part-time)

Drive the vehicle for the pickup service of Thrift Store, as well as be responsible for donations received through this service. Rate: $15.50-$17/hr.
